The Framework, a Toronto-based indie-rock band with new-wave influences, came together in late 2006. Their track "She Thinks I'm Famous" became a finalist in Mix 99.9's Radiostar Songwriting Contest in January 2007, and soon after, outlets like Metro Daily and InsideE Magazine covered them. By 2008, the band had headlined both Canadian Music Week and NXNE in Toronto, with InsideE Magazine naming them one of the city's top five acts.
The lineup includes Ryan Isojima on vocals and guitar, Chris Graham on vocals, guitar, and programming, Rayanne Lepieszo on synths, Scott Winter on bass, and Jon Fedorsen on drums. Their live performances are known for being energetic and captivating. Isojima brings frenetic dance moves, charisma, swagger, charm, and magnetism to the stage, while Graham, when singing lead, offers a contrasting but equally compelling energy described as endearingly coy.
The band has released two EPs: a self-titled debut in 2007 and *The Framework Reworked* in 2008, plus a full-length debut album, *Before Tonight*, in 2009 through Last Gang Labels. High-profile remixers The RAC and vitaminsforyou have worked on their material. Both the debut EP and full-length album were self-produced by Graham and Isojima, with Graham handling recording, mixing, and mastering in rehearsal spaces and his home studio.

Lore & Background
The Framework formed after Ryan Isojima created a Myspace page in October 2006 for a group that had no members or music, listing Chris Graham and Rayanne Lepieszo. Isojima pitched the idea to Graham, who agreed despite having planned a break from performing. They met at Graham's home studio to write "She Thinks I'm Famous," which later placed third in a radio contest and flooded their Myspace page with traffic. Lepieszo joined after hearing demos, and drummer Tobias Smith and bassist Scott Winter were added through musical connections.
The band released their self-titled EP in 2007, followed by The Framework Reworked in 2008, a digital-only remix EP featuring high-profile remixers The RAC and vitaminsforyou. Their full-length debut Before Tonight was released in 2009 through Last Gang Labels, self-produced by Graham and Isojima for a reported out-of-pocket cost of $130. The album reached No. 4 in sales in Toronto and No. 2 on the CIUT 89.5 campus radio chart.
The band parted ways in late January 2011. Graham formed FIRExFIRE with Winter and Fedorson, while Isojima and Lepieszo announced their new band Mr. and Mrs. Fox in February 2012.
