Camouflage Nights is a Canadian electronic rock band based in Toronto, led by Rob Benvie and Ian McGettigan. The two musicians previously played together in the Halifax indie band Thrush Hermit, which broke up in 1999. Following that split, they launched Camouflage Nights as their own project, supported by a changing group of musicians that included Nobu Adilman.
The band played shows across Canada and the United States, appearing at events such as the CMJ Music Festival in New York (2005), Pop Montreal (2007), and Canada Music Week in Toronto (2008). After a series of tours and limited releases—including the single "It Could Be Love (Make Mine)"—their debut self-titled LP finally came out in April 2012 on Sonic Unyon Records, delayed by label issues. The album, whose material dates back to 2004, features contributions from Buck 65, Feist, and Matt Murphy, and received mixed reviews. Camouflage Nights has also created remixes for artists including Stars, Every Move a Picture, and Pony Da Look.
